A friend visits and sees Mak living together with Nak. The villagers, knowing that Nak died in childbirth several months previously, realize what is happening, that Mak is spellbound by Nak's ghost. People who attempt to tell Mak, or who know too much, are killed by the Nak's ghost, who becomes more aggressive due to her inability to accept her early death and her desperate desire to stay with her husband.

Toward the end, Mak discovers what is happening, and shocked, flees to the local temple. The villagers attempt several solutions, including burning down the house and in the end summon a ghost exorciser to destroy her forehead (this would destroy her soul as well as the ghost).

The country's most respected Buddhist monk (in the film Somdej To) arrives in the final moments, takes charge and in a tearful farewell Nak repents, leaving her husband to live his life. Somdejto has the centre of her forehead cut out and made a girdle brooch. He wore it till his last day. The epilogue states that it later became in possession of His Royal Highness Prince Chumbhorn Ketudomsak. Then, handed down to many others, nondetected. Until now nobody knows where the item is.

Painted Skin (2009) - 1 Movie

Painted Skin is based on one of Pu Songling's classic short stories in Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio. Zhou Xun stars as Xiao Wei, a fox spirit (huli jing) that feasts on human hearts in order to maintain her lovely, youthful appearance. When General Wang Sheng (Chen Kun) 'rescues' her from a band of bandits and brings her home, trouble brews as the demon falls in love with the general, who is married to Pei Rong (Zhao Wei).

Another older love triangle is present, between the general's brother Pang Yong (Donnie Yen), Wang Sheng, and his wife. Pei Rong asks Pang Yong for help as she suspects Xiao Wei for what she really is. Pang Yong is aided by an inexperienced 'demon buster', Xia Bing (Betty Sun). Hints of a developing relationship between Xia Bing and Pang Yong are there, although this is never fully explored. Another subplot revolves around Xiao Wei's demon ally (Qi Yuwu), who is actually morphed from a lizard, and who also has unreciprocated feelings for Xiao Wei and helps her obtain all the human hearts she needs.

Wishing Stairs (2003) - 1 Movie

The legend goes that if you climb the twenty eight steps leading up to the school dormitory, counting each step aloud, and find a twenty ninth, a spirit will appear and grant you a wish.

The movie takes place in a girl's art school and focuses on two friends studying ballet, however their friendship soon turns sour when they find themselves competing for a single spot in a Russian ballet school. Yun Jin-seong played by Sung Ji Hyo, remembering the old legend of the "Wishing Stairs" wishes for a place in the prestigious arts school, and in a shocking turn of events, she gets it, at the cost of her best friend, Kim So-hee's life. However, it's only when the extremely odd character of Eom Hye-ju wishes the dead girl back, that an unspeakable evil is released.

The film itself seems to mirror the ballet "Giselle", which girls in the film are studying, as well as drawing upon the classic short story "The Monkey's Paw". So-hie as Giselle, and Jin-sung as Albrecht. Unhappy with always having to play the "prince" to So-hee's princess, Jin-sung betrays So-hee, which in turn leads to So-hee being crippled and commits suicide after her friend Jin-sung confesses she has hated her all along. When So-hee's spirit is wished back, Jin-sung is haunted by So-hee's ghost, the love she once felt for her friend warped by Jin-sung's hurtful actions.

As in the prior two movies, this film has strong indications of friendship, betrayal, and the taboo of lesbian affairs in an all-girls school.

Ghost Game (2006) - 1 Episode

Ghost Game (Thai: ล่า-ท้า-ผี or La-Tha-Pii) is a 2006 Thai horror film about 11 contestants on a reality TV show who must stay in an abandoned military prison where atrocities took place years before.

The film was controversial because the setting closely matched that of Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, where the Khmer Rouge in Thailand's neighbor, Cambodia, tortured prisoners.

In the film, the prison was called S-11, which closely resembles the name the Khmer Rouge used for Tuol Sleng, S-21. It also depicts piles of skulls and bones, similar to many war memorials around Cambodia.

The producers of the film had in fact wanted to film inside Tuol Sleng, but were refused by the Cambodian government. The film was then made on location in Thailand.

The film outraged Cambodians and calls were made to ban all Thai products. Cambodian genocide researcher Youk Chhang has denounced the film as insensitive and a distortion of history for commercial purposes. It was the another low point for Thai-Cambodian relations, which turned violent with the 2003 Phnom Penh riots.

The film's producers apologized and said they had not given the subject enough serious thought.

Though it was banned in Cambodia, the film was given a wide theatrical release in Thailand and later in Singapore.

The Eye 2 (2005) - 1 Episode

Chinese/Thai horror maestros Oxide and Danny Pang follow up their hit 2002 film with a sequel that equals the chills and creepy mise-en-scene of the first. Qi Shu (MILLENIUM MAMBO) stars as Joey Cheng, a troubled young woman who is pregnant with the child of the boyfriend who just dumped her.

On holiday in Bangkok, she makes a suicide attempt in her hotel room, but is foiled by her wake-up call. Something was altered in her close contact with death, however, and returning home to Hong Kong, the realization slowly dawns on Joey that the wraith-like people she now sees everywhere are actually deceased.

This knowledge does not sit well with Joey, and as she descends further and further into her own torment, she attempts to reconnect with her ex-boyfriend Sam (Jesdaporn Pholdee), who seems to be hiding some kind of secret.

The Pang Brothers' characteristically excellent cinematography infuses THE EYE 2 with atmospheric foreboding, and Qi Shu hands in an outsanding performance as the haunted expectant mother.
