200 Pound Beauty (2006) - 1 Movie
Kang Hannah (Kim Ah-jung) is an overweight phone sex employee and a secret vocalist for a famous Korean pop singer, Ammy. Even though she is always ignored because of her appearance, she has been a bright and lighthearted girl until Amy humiliates her in front of Sang-jun, her secret love. At last she makes a decision of a lifetime to have plastic surgery all over her body.
After a year of seclusion, she comes back out incredibly beautiful and slender. She decides to audition for Ammy's secret vocalist under the name Jenny. Fortunately; instead, she was offered a recording contract due to her "all natural" lie. After a few appearance in public, a few people started to question the truth. Will her identity be exposed? Will her unrequited love get anything in return?
My Thoughts:
This movie was awesome! Watched too many times!! Still loved it! It was so dramatic and funny!! Promoted plastic surgery; but, I think it shows the reality of what some people and overweighted people desire.
