Dark Tales of Japan (2005) - 5 Episodes

Dark Tales of Japan (日本のこわい夜, Nihon no Kowaiya?) is a collection of five short horror films that are directed by five notable Japanese film directors.

The five tales are:

Episode 1
The Spiderwoman (くも女, Kumo Onna?) Directed by Yoshihiro Nakamura; teleplay by Yoshihiro Nakamura; starring Shôzô Endô, Yoshinori Okada, Miyako Yamaguchi, Yôko Maki, Anri Sugihara, and Kanako Fukaura.

Two magazine reporters pursue a story about a local legend of a Spider Woman. Though the magazine's circulation has shot up 20% following their dramatic articles, they have yet to find a single shred of evidence backing up their stories. Then they hear about a young girl who claims to have been attacked by the horrible monster.

Episode 2
Crevices (すきま, Sukima?) Directed by Norio Tsuruta; teleplay by Naoya Takayama; starring Shunsuke Nakamura, Shigenori Yamazaki, and Kyûsaku Shimada.

Visiting the apartment of a missing friend, a young man is startled to find every crack and crevice of the apartment's interior sealed with red tape. Upon reviewing computer and video files, it appears his friend suffered from some sort of mental breakdown wherein he was completely obsessed with the terror that someone was watching him. But how could the friend have simply disappeared? As he and the apartment manager set out to remove the massive amount of red tape, very strange things begin to occur.

Episode 3
The Sacrifice (大生首, Ōnamakubi?) Directed by Kôji Shiraishi; teleplay by Kôji Shiraishi and Naoyuki Yokota; starring Yû Yamada, Moro Morooka, and Megumi Asaoka.

A young woman returns to her rural home from Tokyo to tend to her ailing mother. Once there, she realizes that her troubles with a co-worker stalker may have followed her to her family home. Haunted by childhood memories and the growing fear of the obsessed co-worker, she wakes in the middle of the night and discovers a terrifying sight.

Episode 4
Blonde Kwaidan (金髪怪談, Kinpatsu Kaidan?) Directed by Takashi Shimizu; teleplay by Takashi Shimizu; starring Tetta Sugimoto.

A Japanese man, visiting Hollywood for the first time, is very excited about meeting genuine blondies. However, there may be one blonde in particular who is too much for him...


Episode 5
Presentiment (予緘, Yokan?) Directed by Masayuki Ochiai; teleplay by Masayuki Ochiai and Toshiya Ôno; starring Teruyuki Kagawa and Hijiri Kojima.

After just committing the perfect embezzlement, a Japanese businessman boards the elevator to make his escape. Riding with him are three unusual passengers who increasingly display a deep knowledge about himself and what he has done. When the elevator suddenly breaks down, his real terror begins, with the strange company of folk inside the elevator and the police and rescue team outside.

Majisuka Gakuen (2010) - 12 Episodes

Two transfer students, Atsuko Maeda and Onizuka Daruma came at the all-girls school Majisuka Gakuen. In this school violence and fighting are common among the Yankee students. Noisy and trouble maker Daruma made a fuss as soon as she entered the school, win in her first fight but then was beaten easily by another gang shortly after. In contrary to Daruma's bold-but-powerless attitude, Maeda who is truthfully a strong girl despite of her silent nature found Daruma is beaten by Team Hormon before her.

The word "Majisuka?" (means are you serious?) instantly awaken her true nature and made her won the battle against Daruma's attackers easily, thus made a big fuss at the school and the news even reached the strongest fighting group, Rappapa. Afterwards, Daruma acknowledged Maeda as her boss and as a result the friendship between the two girls began to grow along with their fights with fellow students at their school.

Code Blue Season 2 (2010) - 11 Episodes

It has been one and a half years since Aizawa Kosaku, Shiraishi Megumi, Hiyama Mihoko and Fujikawa Kazuo were assigned to Shoyo University’s North Hospital. They have only three months left of their fellowship programme (specialised training programme) to be flight doctors and each of them have come to the crossroads where they have to think of their lives after graduation. "You'll be meeting your friend soon." 'Ghost System' opens with Misaki entertaining the audience with her thoughts on life, death, science, and the mysteries of the afterlife. Misaki then remembers the hours leading up to her current predicament -- cowering inside the aforementioned dilapidated building in a forest. Lovely. It all started with the disappearance of Misaki's best friend Mai.

One day both Misaki and Mai's boyfriend Wataru receive emails on their cell phones supposedly from Mai. But there are no messages, only a picture of some trees in the aforementioned forest. The two are determined to find her, even though looking for some generic trees in a large wooded area is not, as you might imagine, be that easy.

Ghost Train (2006) - 1 Movie

Takeshi, a boy taking a train, finds a ticket covered in a red bag. He picks it up woman tells him he's going to die. The next day, he disappeared after getting on the train again.

His classmate Noriko and her sister, Nana, had bumped into him the day he was told he was going to die. Not only finding out that he went missing the day after they met him but Noriko had also ended picking up the same red bag ticket. The following day, on Noriko's day back from school she too was never seen again.

A conductor is demoted to lost and found organizer because of him stopping the train. The police mention there were 4 reports this month about a body on the railway. His friend asked him if he saw "The ghost" but because of the line of his work he was still in denial.

Soon the conductor had caught a little girl on their surveillance camera and had called Nana to confirm if that was her sister or not. When she came to confirm the identity of the camera, it was Noriko. She then tells them that it seems like there was something that was following her. When she metioned about that, she grew suspicious due to the conductor's reaction.

Soon after, wierd phenomenal started to happened that ended up with Nana and the Conductor forming a team and entering the train tunnel to search for the truth and her sister.

The Last Princess (2008) - 1 Movie


Makabe Rokurota (Hiroshi Abe), a loyal retainer of Princess Yuki-hime (Masami Nagasawa), has been commissioned to transport Yuki-hime and Akizuki's ample treasury of gold bars safely to the politically stable Hayakawa. They disguise themselves as humble firewood peddlers, hiding the gold bars inside the logs they are carrying so as to pass safely through roadblocks set up by Yamana, which is under the control of Takayama Gyobu (Kippei Shiina), whose attire bears a striking resemblance to that of Darth Vader.

Along the way, Rokurota comes across Takezo (Jun Matsumoto) and Shimpachi (Daisuke Miyagawa), who have escaped from forced labor in a gold mine. Takezo and Shimpachi first frown on joining the journey, but eventually agree to help out in the hope of escaping Yamana's oppression and cashing in on the gold reward Rokurota offers them.
