Hometown Legends (2009) is the continuation of a classic series of ghost stories which first aired on KBS between 1977 and 1989 and later between 1996 and 1999. After a successful return in 2008, KBS decided to do another series of one-act dramas.

Two transfer students, Atsuko Maeda and Onizuka Daruma came at the all-girls school Majisuka Gakuen. In this school violence and fighting are common among the Yankee students. Noisy and trouble maker Daruma made a fuss as soon as she entered the school, win in her first fight but then was beaten easily by another gang shortly after. In contrary to Daruma's bold-but-powerless attitude, Maeda who is truthfully a strong girl despite of her silent nature found Daruma is beaten by Team Hormon before her.
The word "Majisuka?" (means are you serious?) instantly awaken her true nature and made her won the battle against Daruma's attackers easily, thus made a big fuss at the school and the news even reached the strongest fighting group, Rappapa. Afterwards, Daruma acknowledged Maeda as her boss and as a result the friendship between the two girls began to grow along with their fights with fellow students at their school.

It has been one and a half years since Aizawa Kosaku, Shiraishi Megumi, Hiyama Mihoko and Fujikawa Kazuo were assigned to Shoyo University’s North Hospital. They have only three months left of their fellowship programme (specialised training programme) to be flight doctors and each of them have come to the crossroads where they have to think of their lives after graduation. Aizawa, who has only one relative – a grandmother currently in a nursing home, starts having doubts about his duties and cannot find a clear direction for his future. Meanwhile, Shiraishi Megumi is unable to forget the past. She had caused their former teacher, Kuroda Shuji, to have his right arm amputated. Then Tachibana Keisuke, a veteran flight doctor, takes up a new post. He has been put in charge of certifying the fellowship programme which will decide their future. -Jdrama Weblog

This special is set half a year after the death of Aya. Her younger sister Ako is training to be a nurse, while Haruto has already become a neurologist at the hospital Aya was once treated at. The loss of Aya strongly affects Haruto, causing him to lose sight of himself. But after he meets Mizuki, a 14-year-old patient who has given up on living, he feels compelled to share with her the story of Aya's life.

"You'll be meeting your friend soon." 'Ghost System' opens with Misaki entertaining the audience with her thoughts on life, death, science, and the mysteries of the afterlife. Misaki then remembers the hours leading up to her current predicament -- cowering inside the aforementioned dilapidated building in a forest. Lovely. It all started with the disappearance of Misaki's best friend Mai.
One day both Misaki and Mai's boyfriend Wataru receive emails on their cell phones supposedly from Mai. But there are no messages, only a picture of some trees in the aforementioned forest. The two are determined to find her, even though looking for some generic trees in a large wooded area is not, as you might imagine, be that easy.

Years after moving to Tokyo with her parents, Hinako returns to her hometown in rural Shikoku. She soon learns that her childhood friend, Sayuri, died several years ago and that Sayuri's mother, who used to perform seances and exorcisms, has gone almost insane with grief. After seeing Sayuri's ghost several times during the night, Hinako consults with some local experts on the paranormal and discovers that Sayuri's mother has something planned for her daughter... Takeshi, a boy taking a train, finds a ticket covered in a red bag. He picks it up woman tells him he's going to die. The next day, he disappeared after getting on the train again.
His classmate Noriko and her sister, Nana, had bumped into him the day he was told he was going to die. Not only finding out that he went missing the day after they met him but Noriko had also ended picking up the same red bag ticket. The following day, on Noriko's day back from school she too was never seen again.
A conductor is demoted to lost and found organizer because of him stopping the train. The police mention there were 4 reports this month about a body on the railway. His friend asked him if he saw "The ghost" but because of the line of his work he was still in denial.
Soon the conductor had caught a little girl on their surveillance camera and had called Nana to confirm if that was her sister or not. When she came to confirm the identity of the camera, it was Noriko. She then tells them that it seems like there was something that was following her. When she metioned about that, she grew suspicious due to the conductor's reaction.
Soon after, wierd phenomenal started to happened that ended up with Nana and the Conductor forming a team and entering the train tunnel to search for the truth and her sister.
